Christie Jones, MSP, CCC-SLP

Christie earned a Master's degree in Speech Pathology from the University of South Carolina after completing her undergraduate in Speech and Communications at Clemson University. Christie founded SpeechWorks in 2007 with a passion to help children and adults reach their full potential. She has been featured on WPDE news, Clemson World Magazine, and The Anderson Independent, highlighting SpeechWorks and the therapies it provides. Christie has been trained in the use of the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, the "Color Me Fluent" fluency protocol (stuttering), and other programs for autism, apraxia, feeding/eating disorders and aural rehabilitation. She resides in Easley and enjoys spending time with her husband and their two small children.
Christine Artz, M.S.,OTR/L

Christine has been a practicing pediatric Occupational Therapist for seven years. She received her undergraduate degree from Lynchburg College graduating with a BS in Sports Medicine. She received her Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in 2003. Christine is speciality certified and trained in Interactive Metronome, Therapeutic Listening and Saebo Orthosis. She will be receiving her RYT certification as a Yatra Yoga Instructor in June of 2012 from the Yoga Alliance. Christine enjoys baking, running and of course daily yoga practice which she incorporates therapeutically into treatments to improve arousal levels, calmness and overall strengthening of the body.
Anetra Beaufort, M.A., CCC-SLP

Anetra has worked as a speech-language pathologist for 19 years. Her experiences include public/private schools, home health, skilled nursing, virtual, and private practice. Anetra holds both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degree from South Carolina State University. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Nova Southeastern University. Anetra is a United States Army Veteran and served her country proudly during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm. During her overseas tour, she was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Meritorious service. Anetra enjoys singing and writing music.
Kayla Brunson, B.A., SLP-A

Kayla Brunson earned her undergraduate degree from Columbia College in 2011. She is currently pursuing a Graduate degree from South Carolina State University. Kayla has previous experience in ABA therapy. She enjoys working with the preschool population and watching their language skills expand.
Glenda Gay

Glenda has worked at SpeechWorks since 2009. She began her work at our Piedmont office, and transferred to our Seneca office when it opened in September, 2011. Glenda supervises billing and reimbursement at all three locations, and in her free time she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.
Sarah Grove, MSP, CCC-SLP

Sarah joined SpeechWorks after completing her clinical fellowship at Chapel Grove Elementary in Gastonia, NC. She returned to Columbia after having earned a speech pathology master’s degree from the University of South Carolina in 2010. Sarah’s clinical experience and areas of interest include pediatric and adult language disorders, articulation, fluency, and swallowing. She also has one year of experience as an ABA line therapist. Before focusing her career on speech pathology, Sarah was Director of Development for the South Carolina Wildlife Federation, and also worked for Spoleto Festival USA. Sarah grew up in Whiteville, NC and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from USC. She enjoys cooking, exercising, and cheering on the Gamecocks.
Allison Henry, B.A., SLP-A

Allison Henry graduated Summa Cum Laude from Columbia College in May 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Language Pathology. She received her Speech Language Pathologist – Assistant license from the SCLLR following graduation. Allison’s professional experience has been gained from public school and private practice settings. She’s had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients including those with the following: Down syndrome, autism, Asperger’s, developmental delays and augmentative/alternative communication. Allison joined the SpeechWorks team in August 2011. She is native to both South Carolina and the Upstate. Allison currently resides in Pickens, where she enjoys spending time with her close friends and family, as well as her “daughter”-dog, Lola.
Katie Horton

Katie has worked at SpeechWorks since 2008. She served as Director of the Columbia office before returning to the Upstate to serve as Office Manager at our Piedmont location while also coaching the Clemson Rally Cats (dance team). Katie enjoys attending Clemson sporting events with her team.
Lindsay Knobelauch, M. Ed., CCC-SLP

Lindsay earned her master's degree in speech-language pathology from the University of Virginia. Over the past ten years, she has provided speech and language therapy in a variety of settings including public and private schools, private clinics, and skilled nursing facilities. Specific therapeutic areas of interest and expertise include language-based learning disabilities, hearing loss, and auditory processing disorders. She has participated on research teams exploring treatment methodologies for children with cochlear implants and has been trained in a variety of programs for phonological awareness, reading and writing, apraxia, and language development.
Jessica Matheson, MSP, CCC-SLP

Jessica earned her master's degree in speech pathology from the University of South Carolina in 2004. She has served in a variety of settings including private clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and public schools. Jessica has been trained in the use of the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol, Sounds in Motion, and other programs in sensory integration, phonological awareness, child language, and apraxia. She has served extensively on student support and behavior management teams. Jessica has also participated on research teams with Sounds in Motion and stuttering perception. She resides in Seneca with her husband and enjoys leading an active lifestyle, exercising, running races and the occasional marathon.

Sarah graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A. in Communication Disorders in May 2010. She received her Speech Language Pathology Assistant license shortly after graduation. Sarah has experience working with a variety of populations including: Autism, Down Syndrome, Articulation/ Phonological Disorders and Language Disorders. She has worked at SpeechWorks since 2010, and in addition to serving clients at the Piedmont office, she also provides therapy on-site at schools for children with special needs. Sarah currently resides in Greer and enjoys spending time with her husband and their young daughter.
Staci Price, M.S., CCC-SLP

Staci earned a master's degree in communication sciences and disorders from Baylor University. In the past ten years, she has provided speech and language therapy in a variety of settings including public schools, home health, and private practice. Specific therapeutic areas of interest and expertise include autism spectrum disorders, positive behavior supports, language-based learning disabilities, and apraxia treatment. She has been trained in the use of the Kaufman Speech to Language Protocol and other programs for reading, phonological awareness, autism, and apraxia. Staci has worked on research teams investigating the benefits of inclusion for significantly disabled students and identifying necessary supports for success in an inclusive classroom setting. She has also worked on educational teams to develop social camps and programs to optimize the development of pragmatic skills for students with autism. Staci resides in Seneca and enjoys spending time with her husband and their three sons.
Katie Walters

Katie Walters graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She will be attending graduate school to obtain her Master's in Speech Pathology in Fall, 2012. Katie has a special interest in fluency and cleft palate rehabilitation, as well as fluency research.
